Pool safety
How to prevent pool tragedies? Inflatable pools are bigger, better and
cheaper than ever before. But the consumer product safety commission says they're posing an increasing threat to children. In the old days, the six inch pools were emptied every night and almost anyone could stand up in. Now pools have twenty four inches or more of water in them. The number of inflatable pool drownings nearly doubled last year. Almost every child death in a pool is without the parent being their providing proper supervision. Even covering the pool isn't enough. You need a fence to lock out your children and others who might want to play, and a door alarm.
