Default Wow!! No more diarrhea

I wanted to post a followup on my ds. MANY months ago, I posted a
message about how he had diarrhea off & on constantly--as well as lots
of spitting up on those days. Well, I tried varying my diet and
really didn't find much except confusion, as he would get it when I
was just eating rice, potatoes, green beans, etc which very rarely
would affect a baby. We even had him tested for allergies, but came
up with nothing. But then once during a bout of diarrhea, I noticed
he got a yeasty diaper rash, so I cut my carbs to almost nothing and
ate lots of yogurt. It seemed to work and after being on & off the
yogurt and seeing that any time I ate many carbs (I'm a carb-o-holic)
or missed my yogurt (1 lg container a day) he would start to have the
diarrhea again and if it was more than a day or so, the rash would
appear. So then I started taking acidophillus--and it's quite
amazing. Now, instead of 6-10 dirty diapers/day, ds only has 1-2 (now
almost 12 mos old--9 1/2 mos corrected for prematurity) and I can eat
whatever I want (he still nurses 5x per day). I just wanted to post
this info as I struggled so much finding a solution and am hoping
someone else might benefit. Since he was gaining weight very well,
doctors didn't venture any help. And since the diaper rash was
normally not even there, I didn't even suspect yeast. But clearly
that was the answer.
So, I hope this helps someone else out there--it has definitely made a
huge difference for us--just wish I would have found it about 8 mos
ago!
Thanks for all those out there that did try to help us out!! I
wouldn't have made it this far without this ng!
Thanks!

glad you found a solution, I remember it was confounding everyone as to
what to do/try.

I'm not sure this is correct or not, but I heard that allergy tests
aren't always positive in young babies that have sensitivies.
