Okay I can't think of anything that can come close to how angry I am
about this.
I wrote TLC and hope a few other mums do the same.

I would love to see some of the dads here write as well.

Well, that article was bunk.

At least there was a rebuttal:

Interesting. Perhaps his next suggestion will be that we should stop
getting pregnant as well - the big fat tummy and stretch marks and
varicose veins are probably quite a turn-off to some poor husbands.

If I were a man I imagine I'd be soundly insulted by this article!

One of my first three thoughts, when I read about this guy, before I
came back here, was:

"Gee, this dude really needs to talk to Larry!"

Hahahah...

That article is one of the least logical I have ever viewed. Blaming
breastfeeding for lack of passion in a marriage. Well lets just all
stop having kids becasue it makes us tired and we can't have sex if we
are tired now can we. But oh wait having sex means getting pregnant
and that could lead to a belly with stretch marks oh how ugly. Well I
guess we just have to stop having sex completely. To avoid such an
awful thing as breastfeeing a baby. Flawed logic to the very end. He
should think a little more clearly before he spouts off again.

hecky thump, this man is wierd, ok, so I can't read my husbands mind, but
I'm pretty sure he finds the fact I am breastfeeding to be erotic, as if
it's a fufilment of my womenhood, the total opposite of de-erotisising!

I think there is some kind of point though, that sometimes the marital
relationship does get put in the wrong place in terms of priority, there was
one couple I knew where I did worry for a while when they both freely
admitted they slept in separate rooms and were finding it hard, but things
seem to be fine now.

But I don't think this means anything about breastfeeding, it's all about
how you balance things - I'm sure we can't be the only couple that have had
sex whilst there's been a baby at the breast.

It just goes to show that ignorance is an equal religous group employer.

The guy has eight children! In a planet with diminishing resources having
that many children is a form of pollution. What educated person could
justify so many? He preaches that a wife should place a romantic
relationship for her man above a caring relationship for her children
because her primary duty is to please him. How incredibly selfish!

Pfffffft! Now there is breakfast cereal on my chin! LOL

.... can't say we've done it... but then, we've only had sex 3 times
since Will was born.
