Default Getting more concerned...

I'm getting a little more concerned. In addition to my loss of any slight
symptoms that I might have had, I started spotting last night. Not a lot,
just a little very light pink. I noticed it after having sex with dh. Now,
this could be the result of a sensitive cervix, but I thought that was the
case with my last pregnancy which ended in miscarriage. Today it is very
light, brown streaking. I know it could just be that my cervix is sensitive,
but there are too many similarities between my situation now to my last
pregnancy which ended in miscarriage. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I
guess I can't blame myself.

I'm still out of state, but I am going to call my midwife tomorrow to see if
I can get blood tests done up here. I don't even know where there is a lab.
There isn't anything for at least 1/2 hour away. I'll only do it if
insurance covers it because I'm going home in a week anyway. At least with
the blood tests I'll know what is going on and I'll stop worrying.

Please keep your fingers crossed that everything is ok. I don't want to go
through another miscarriage so soon again.

{{{Jenn}}} I'm hoping for the best for you.

FWIW I had similar spotting one time early in this pregnancy, also right
after sex. I hope your spotting continues to fade. I had very slight
symptoms with this pregnancy too, and pretty much only from week 7 to 9.

Same here, I had light pinkish spotting for about 11 weeks after sex.

Most likely this is indeed just a senstive cervix. The fact that
it was pink at first and now brown suggests to me it is related to
having intercourse.

With your history I cannot blame you for wanting some more
reassurance. Try to keep a positive mind! {{{{Jenn}}}}, I hope
everything turns out to be just fine. FWIW I spotted for 5 weeks
and had a healthy baby, so it *can* be no problem, but I know it
is really really stressful.

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I called my midwife's office today and
spoke to a nurse but not a midwife. She told me that it could very well be
spotting from a sensitive cervix. Especially since it started right after
intercourse. She was very understanding and helpful. She did recommend
getting the bloodwork done if it was convenient and covered by insurance
(I'm out of state still remember) Well, there is a Quest lab who does take
my insurance, but they are an hour away. I would need to go back again in
three days to get more blood drawn to tell them anything. I'm not going
anywhere in the direction of the lab anytime soon, so I'm going to wait it
out and be patient. I think I'll be going home a week from tomorrow so it
can wait. Thanks again for your support.

I'll keep my fingers crossed and positive vibes flowing, Jenn! I read your
later post that said you won't be having the blood tests while out of state
after all. I do think it will help a lot (either way) to have them done when
you get back to your home.

I know it probably doesn't help that much, since you had a similar
experience with sad results last time, but I had early mild spotting with
this pregnancy. One time was after sex and was pink, the rest of the time it
was brownish. Anyway, things were fine and I'm now 36 weeks along. I freaked
myself out about the spotting when it was happening though. I think I
mentioned in another post to you about how difficult it is to know whether
your intuition is telling you that something is wrong, or whether it is just
hypervigilance.

Hang in there and take care. (((Jenn)))

Thanks, I hope it's just hypervigilance.
