Christmas Gifts
Mostly I just lurk in this group. Lots of interesting topics.
My 22 mo is still bfing. I work full time, so she was taking either ebm or formula until she was about 15 mos, and then we just went to bf mostly 2 times a day and milk from a cup. It seemed back then that she probably would have weaned at that time, but I wasn't ready! Now, for the last few weeks, she has become rather demanding. Her sleep pattern has also changed, for the worse of course. I chalk it up to the latest development steps. She has taken great leaps in her talking. On the upside, it is great to hear her talking and I can actually have a conversation with her. On the downside, I can see how frustrated she gets when she doesn't have the words to communicate and melts into tears. Whew. Anyway, my real question is what kinds of toys do you all suggest for this age? I feel like the things that my husband and I think are fun end up collecting dust. Looking for good Christmas gifts. |

Looking for good Christmas gifts. 22 months. The kind of thing YoungBloke liked at 22 months that he still wants to play with at 26 months is paper and crayons/pencils/pens. Creative play stuff - he's getting an easel, paints, collage material and play dough for Christmas. Trucks and cars are popular with that age group at the nursery YB goes to. Dressing up stuff - hats mostly, but also bits of material they can drape around their shoulders/necks/over their heads. Dolls and buggies. The workbench and tools are popular with the girls as well as the boys - and the kitchen toys are as popular with the boys as the girls. |
