The Public Health Nurse came by and gave P his 2 year checkup. From
what she said, he's above average on drawing, speaking and doing
stuff...he's putting together sentences (his latest was "bad boy draw on
wall"), drawing circles with good control, and is doing well overall.

And still nursed 4x a day :-).

The bad news...he and I were in the park this morning, giving hubby some
Him time, and as I lifted him into one of the baby swings, my back did
its "thing" again. So I'm sitting here, heating pad on my back, and not
able to do much. Worse than the time 2 weeks ago. A friend who's dad
is a doc is going to get me a scrip for an MRI, just to know what is
going on. Argh.

Aw sweet. It's nice when they are doing so well.
My 2yr old Joey can only say 4 words. But he is improving all the time.

Look after that back. DH was used to doing great big stretches and a nice
big primeval scream at the same time. One morning he did this, and now 10+
years later, he still has to be careful with anything that involves any
weight pushing down on his spine, because the results ain't pretty.

Hehehe..I'd almost take that instead! :-) He's such a chatterbox that
sometimes I want to say "Just be quiet for FIVE minutes!!!!" :-)

Totally sucks. Feels better already, but I have to remember to not do
anything serious today or I'll be in bed for a week! Argh. I hate
feeling useless.

Thanks :-). I have a friend with a bad back, and he's making me not do
anything (along with a Hubby who says the same thing). I'm really
scared by this. I'm a bit of a tomboy who lifts everything and hates it
when men dismiss me cause I can't possibly know about building anything
or lifting anything. Now I have to be a *girl*! Waaahhh! :-)

Back problems are the pits. It's hard when you can't pick up your
child. I have a similar problem with my gd and she is younger and
lighter than P. If I hold her too long, my back just can't take it
unless I am sitting down and she is not much on sitting with anyone.

Thankfully, P is into climbing up on us, so it's not too bad. But
getting into the car seat is out for me, so DH is taking him to
playgroup today, I think.
