Test weighing can be very unhelpful: a baby may take *a small feed or do a large poo, and the numbers are therfore meaningless. If I disagree that the numbers are meaningless. If I put the baby on the scale and he weighs 10 lbs, and then he nurses, and I put him back on the scale and he weighs 10 lbs 4 oz, then he has taken in 4 oz of milk. This is undeniable. It makes no difference if he has urinated or defecated - he's wearing a diaper. Certainly, if I weighed the baby, and then changed his diaper, and fed him, and changed him again, and then weighed him, the numbers might not be useful, but - I wouldn't do it that way! -- Hillary Israeli, VMD Lafayette Hill/PA/USA/Earth "Outside of a dog, a book is a man's best friend.
