Default i feel like a turtle...

I had hard times getting out of bed this morning. At 31 weeks, my hips and
low back don't feel like they belong to me anymore! It takes a great deal
of floundering around, twisting and rolling and swing arms and legs to get
upright in the morning. I feel so old! I walk up the stairs and am
breathless. I waddle like a duck. I had forgotten about this aspect of
pregnancy... We just bought a full sized pickup, and getting into it with
no step or rail means getting ahold of whatever I can with 2 hands and
slowly hoisting myself up.

I really can't wait for after the baby to be born, when I can become more
mobile again. I'm just huge now it feels like. And being on modified
bedrest means I don't do anymore than I have to physically, so I also feel
helpless. I can't run to the store and pick up milk or whatever when we run
out, I have to wait for hubby to get home so I can give him a list of all
the things I need him to do. I don't like it. But if I can make it to 36
weeks, the doc said I should be fine to deliver, so it won't be such an
issue to be up and around again at that point. So I'm counting the days....

Hugs. I'm sorry you are feeling so big and unruly.

Your comment about your new truck made me think of a recent story here on
the news...it sounded outlandish to me, and just plain dumb, but it had
tragic consequences.

A pregnant woman had trouble getting into her Ford Explorer, so she had the
habit of taking off the parking break before getting into the car. She was
parked on an incline in a garage, took off the parking break, and the car
pinned her against a wall and crushed her. Before the woman died, they were
able to safely deliver her baby.

I know. I don't know either the article or I made clear, but she released
the parking brake because she couldn't fit into the car with it set, or
something like that. Of course, why she took off the parking break and then
went around to the front of her car, I don't know. Weird story though.
