Completely OT Poll: How long have you waited at a hair or tanning salon?

Sorry to post something so completely OT, but you guys are the biggest
group of women I know!

The basic question is:

When at a hair salon, how many people have you had to wait through to
get to your haircut? In other words, no wait would be 0, waiting for
the person in the chair to be done would be 1, and waiting for both
the person in the chair and an additional person would be 2, and so
on.

I'm looking for average and longest wait.

Please specify whether or not this is with an appointment.

Same question for a tanning salon, if you ever go to one.

(I'm trying to argue a zoning ordinance, in case anyone is wondering
what this information is for. Apparently no one has created a parking
standard for hair salons or tanning salons, so everyone is running
blind, and I think that this particular village has a ridiculous
ordinance, but I don't have any data to back it up. I know this is an
unscientific poll, but it may come in handy.)

I have never had to wait through more than one person and I always have an
appointment. The longest wait AFAICR is 20 minutes and the longest I would
wait without walking out is 30 minutes.

1 - and I always have an appointment. That is usually just the
person in the chair and is never more than 10-15 minutes.
I wouldn't go back to a place if I had to wait longer than that.

Don't do tanning salons. Got my first massage a couple
of weeks ago and that was a 1 also. Had a 10 minute wait.

When I go to a salon, I generally have an appointment
and I generally get in on time. I show up a few minutes
early to be on the safe side, so I generally wait just a
few minutes before it's my turn.

I always make an appt. and usually never wait more than 10 minutes. In fact,
I can't think of a time when I've had to wait longer.

And I would never, ever use a tanning bed...ugh. Could there be anything
worse for your skin???

I always have an appointment and it's early ( as DH is at home then) so I'm
usually the first person, I wait 5 or so mins. Where I park is unlimited
parking time so I have no worries.

Average 0, longest 1 (and that person has always been almost done). Always with
an appointment. Before we had a hair person to do barter with, and I got my
hair done by whoever was available at the walk-in place, average was probably 1
and longest was probably 3, with no appointment.

I go to a no appointments needed place in the strip mall. I almost never
make an appointment. When you get there, they take your name and phone
number, and then you are put into the wait list. Normally the wait is about
10-15 minutes, depending on how many stylists are working at the time (could
be anywhere from 2-6 depending on time of day). On a busy day, the wait
might be as much as an hour, but they are good at estimating how long it
will be. If the wait is long, I usually run a couple errands in the strip
mall while I wait so it isn't wasted time. I'd have virtually no wait ever
if I made an appointment, but my life is just too unpredictable to do that
most of the time.

If I have an appointment, there's usually very little waiting.

My neighbor cuts hair in her house (I'm sure it's a zoning violation,
but since she cuts my hair, I'm not telling). Anyway, on days she cuts,
I see 1 or 2 cars belonging to her customers in our parking lot
(townhouse community). Never 3 cars.
