introducing faith/religion to kids

By which you mean that there's an obviously right answers rather than it being a close call? I don't think that means they're not ethical dilemmas. The answer one chooses is based on one's ethics or values. In other words, even if we all agree on what the ethical answer is, it's still the case that the case highlights a decision which is made on the basis of ethics, and the answer one choses illustrates one's personal ethics. I was thinking about this. What if one person's personal ethics happen to be "get ahead at all costs"? I knew a LOT of kids in high school who were cutthroat about good grades and class standings. I knew at least a couple of kids who would have had no qualms about using a found test to cheat, because they thought all was fair in getting ahead in order to get into a good college in order to have a good future. It all depends on what ethics you were taught and end up believing in. |
