Baby shower dilemma - need opinions

Well I saw my friend yesterday and didn't say anything. So the shower will
be that day. She knew I had the Dr, there's no point in telling her again.
2 other women who will be there know how I feel, and they all know I have
the Dr, so I guess they'll be okay with me being late.

I can't, and won't, reschedule my appointment. There are no older kids
around, they're still in school.

I do like the idea of a get-together after I have the baby. We will still
be doing our weekly coffee morning after school lets out (just not at each
others' houses).

I'll let you guys know how it goes.
