Default Lifting a toddler post-partum?

Our front yard is the bus stop too. I have to be out there with P though
at pick up and drop off times. Not too bad cos the other kids can stay
inside - napping or not.

Oh yeah, I waited with Allison too, but no the kids didn't have to come with
me either. I so miss having a bus stop at the front door. Even though they
all go to the same school, I still hate having to schlep them there twice a
day. Next year, I will have two schools, waaah.

They don't get the bus now? It would be a HUGE inconvenience if I had to
take and pick up all the kids. As it is now I do have to take and pick up P
but it's not every day. In the Fall L is the only one I'll have to do that
with. If we didn't have to move, the kids are close enough in age that I
could have all 4 at the same school for a couple of years - lol.

No our district doesn't have busses ( They consider it neighborhood
schools, where there is a school in each suburb and the kids are expected to
walk, except in our suburb, the kids are expected to cross a major busy
road and most of us parents are not will to take that chance. Drivers are
insane around here and don't abide by the slow speed laws around here. Ha, I
made sure when we moved that we got into a good school district, but never
even thought about them not having busses to get them there, lol.

Wow, I wonder how common this set-up is? What does a working mom do - I bet
pick up time is not after her working hours?

As a kid I remember *everyone* being bussed, I used to have an hour ride
every morning and afternoon.
