CTTS And kinda heartbreaking
This isn't x-posted, but I posted it to more than 1 NG.
We all know that my mother (I'll update about the visit when I get another chance) raised my niece for most of her life. She is almost 4 now. Well, Jarrod and I took her to the mall the other day and we started talking about "Santa Clause"... At first she wasn't sure who he was, and when we mentioned Christmas, she remembered. She said "Oh yeah, he says who who who" lol.. Ok, kinda sad, but funny too! My mom made such a small deal out of Christmas (and all holidays really) that Kris had no idea what Santa says! Needless to say, this is going to be a holiday season to remember for her! :-D Jarrod and I have started buying already lol! -- LES! Daddie to Alegra Lee. May 25th 2003! My mom made such a small deal out of Christmas (and all holidays really) that Kris had no idea what Santa says! Well, just because she doesn't know who Santa is, does not mean it is because Christmas wasn't celebrated. We don't "do" Santa in our home, my kids don't know anything about Santa except for what they see on cartoons in December, but we very definitely celebrate Christmas, and my DS knows all about Christmas (DD is still too young). Not saying that this is the case with your mother, just pointing out that Santa Clause is not really the central figure of Christmas ;-) Amanda |
