Thanks! It was indeed an amazing experience, especially compared to my
first, who was planned as a home birth but ended up having to be
induced. It was so nice to have everything go smoothly this time, and
doing it at home was just incredible. I especially love that my son was
able to be a part of it all instead of having us abandon him for a few
days and then come home with a stranger. He's been being so sweet to
his baby sister; I just couldn't have asked for a better overall
experience!

Thanks! We put a lot of effort into preparing him for the event; our
midwife lent us some books and videos that were pretty explicit, and we
spent a lot of time reading/watching those so he would have a pretty
good idea what to expect, and we were able to address a lot of his
concerns ahead of time. (He was particularly worried that blood might
get on him.) But then of course, we were also just lucky that
everything went smoothlyt and according to plan in the end!

Congratulations! What a great birth story! I especially like your description
