Funfit Kids to Raise Money for St-Jude Research Hospital in MD-DC Area
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Healthy Funfit Kids Work Out to Raise Monies for St-Jude Hospital's Kids Celia Kibler, Owner of Funfit Says "Let's Get the Kids Involved in their Own Health while Help Others" Rockville, Maryland (RUSHPRNEWS) May 9, 2007 - Funfit Family Fitness Center, a family-inclusive gym is organizing a fundraising event for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital on Sunday, May 27, 2007 in Rockville, Maryland. The Volunteer Coordinator for this event is Celia Kibler, who encourages every family member to participate but especially the kids. "This is a great opportunity for kids to get sensitized to the plight of others, while encouraging healthy habits", explained Kibler. By allowing the community children to participate and attend this event, not only will parents teach them the meaning of giving but also will help raise funds for children of the world who are stricken with diseases like cancer, AIDS and Sickle Cell Anemia. Kids' participation in this fundraising is a true and timely lesson of compassion and civic duty, since the funds raised during the event will help St. Jude in its ongoing fight against childhood cancer and other catastrophic diseases. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital is internationally recognized for its pioneering work in finding cures and saving children with cancer and other catastrophic diseases. Founded by the late entertainer, Danny Thomas, and based in Memphis, Tennessee, St. Jude freely shares its discoveries with scientific and medical communities around the world. One quality that makes St. Jude Children's Research Hospital exceptional is its non-payment policy toward uninsured family with a sick child. Kibler stated, "No family ever pays for treatments not covered by insurance, and families without insurance are never asked to pay. I just couldn't turn them down when they approached me for help raising funds". St. Jude is financially supported by ALSAC, its fund-raising organization, through events such as the Workout for St. Jude. Celia Kibler, a childhood obesity expert is well-known in the Maryland and DC community for pioneering all-inclusive fitness programs, including training and nutrition. If you are interested in having your family participate or making a donation, please call Celia Kibler at 301-975-0099. Online registrations are also accepted at www.funfit.us under Maryland Special Events. For more information on St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, please visit www.stjude.org.
