Default Sperm: The 'gift' that keeps on giving

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7024930/

"'There's a 5-year-old child here,' Mirabelli said. 'Imagine how a child
feels when your father says he feels emotionally damaged by your birth.'"
The above statement is a classic case of argumentum ad misericordiam.
Doesn't surprise me coming from such a fool. But what about how the FATHER
feels. That's right, we don't talk about such things. Of course, the father
would not be having any feelings regarding this issue if the woman did NOT
do what she did. But then again, the child would not have any feelings
either since the child wouldn't exist.

According to the court people, if one donates their car to a charity and
someone from that charity kills someone else using the donated vehicle, it
is the DONOR rather than the driver who is responsible for the death. Well,
that's not literally what they said, but it is EXACTLY what they are saying
if you follow their "logic".

Imagine what a child says when the parent male or female says he or she
feels emotionally damaged by your birth . . . oh wait a minute, a mother
wouldn't hear that, because the child would either be so much trash in
the garbage bin or dropped off at some firehouse without so much as a
care in the world.

I knew I had read this before and was thinking this was new news on
the case but it's not. Do you have anything current on this that tells
how it ended up?
