Expired Evening Primrose Oil Capsules
I'm planning on starting to take evening primrose oil at the end of
this week when I hit 36 weeks. I just noticed that my bottle from last pregnancy expired in August. For those who know about such things -- does that mean they *really* expired, or that they'll expire six months after that, or what? Should I spend the money on a new bottle? Thanks! Bryna |

Bryna Buy a new bottle - I would especially if you are taking it orally.. that way you can be 100% sure.. after all that's what expiry dates are for. Best of luck! Expired Evening Primrose Oil Capsules
hmm, they won't do you any harm, stuff like that just loses is efficacy over
time, so it's up to you really, how have they been stored? if they have been in a sealed container in a dark place I'd probably use them, but if they'd had sunlight at all I would probably get fresh ones. Anne |

Oils can go rancid, and the capsules sticky, so I'd probably get a new bottle. Here you can pick them up cheap at health food stores for about NZ$10 for 150 or so of the vege capsule EPO. I'm sure you'll find some similarly priced where you are. -- Amy Mum to Carlos born sleeping 20/11/02, & Ana born screaming 30/06/04 http://www.freewebs.com/carlos2002/ http://www.babiesonline.com/babies/a/ana%5Fj%5F2004/ My blog: http://spaces.msn.com/members/querer-hijo-querer-hija/ |
