Default A suggestion for Carl

Carl,

Do you have a threaded newsreader? What i mean is one that shows
an original post, and all it's responses together is one string
of articles seperated from the other articles.

1. I suggest that you get one, if you don't have one now. This
is NOT the suggestion in the title of my post, this is only to
enable it.

Since you do not read every day, you NEED a threaded newsreader,
then you need to follow the process I suggest below.

First, when you read an article, CHECK THE DATE! Then read all
the responses in the thread AFTER that date. Only after you have
done that should you go back and respond to that article.

I suspect you are saying that this will make you take longer to
get through the newsgroup, but I don't think so. This will make
you reading go in a more organized manner, and you will be able
to follow the discussions with less effort and will wind up making
fewer gratuitous posts.

TIA,
Larry

Well, I did email it to him. But he probably reads that once a month, too!

: sigh

: 1. To exhale audibly in a long deep breath, as in weariness or relief.
: 2. To emit a similar sound: willows sighing in the wind.
: 3. To feel longing or grief; yearn: sighing for their lost youth.

: The next time it is windy and I am around willows, I am going to listen more
: closely - I don't remember hearing a "sighing" sound.

"Take a walk done by the river.
There's a lot that you can learn,
If you got a mind that is open,
If you wonder and yearn.

If you listen to the water,
You can hear the sounds of life.
There's a million different voices.
There is happiness and strife.

From www.dictionary.com...

sigh

1. To exhale audibly in a long deep breath, as in weariness or relief.
2. To emit a similar sound: willows sighing in the wind.
3. To feel longing or grief; yearn: sighing for their lost youth.

The next time it is windy and I am around willows, I am going to listen more
closely - I don't remember hearing a "sighing" sound.

LOL!

So... You're an old guy and you're saying that wind in the willows sounds
like "sighing" to you, right? : )
