29 Week OB Check Up Results

I do not want to look as "unkempt" as what I saw. At this point, I can't see myself to shave, so I've been giving myself a "cut" with comb and scissors. I admit to being embarrassed discussing it, but I wanted to know about having a bikini wax. I know I will not shave, but I definitely want to be "manicured". YIKES! I still can't believe I'm typing about it! LOL! ~Carol Ann You and your birthing team aren't going to care how perfectly manicured you look down there. The focus will be 100% on the baby, as it should be. You will be way too busy to care or worry about it, anyway. :-) --- EDD: 2/16/04 Baby girl Age 39 First baby |

29 Week OB Check Up Results
Hi - I'm new the this newsgroup - actually, to newsgroups in general - there
are a lot of strange ones out there! Anyway, I am 30wks. along, and this seemed to be a posting of people due mid-March. I have two daughters - 2 yrs. and 6 yrs., and am expecting a boy via C-section either 3/5 or 3/12. Very excited about a son! Very nervous about taking care of a newborn son! He'll be circumcised, and I'm anxious about taking care of diaper changes and the like. I know, after two kids it sounds silly, but I have no experience with boys! DH says Charlie will be easier to change, as he won't have folds and layers of skin such as a vaginal area. Pregnancy in general is going well...I really needed 9 mos. to mentally prepare for my girls, but this time around I would be ready to have Charlie tomorrow - LOL. Laura E. "Coccinella" wrote in message . com... WOW Carol Ann, it's really an exciting time. Let us know how the prenatal class goes. I am starting mine next week. Good luck for your glucose test. Love -- Nicky EDD March 26, '04. It's a girl! |

I know, after two kids it sounds silly, but I have no Please reconsider the circumcision unless it is for religious reasons (and unlike some believe christianity does not require circumcision). There is more to it than you may think; for one thing the infant foreskin does not retract on its own for months or even a few years in some cases, meaning the skin beneath it is still tender and forming. The skin beneath the foreskin is critical to later sexual sensation; a bad circumcision can ruin a man's ability to fully enjoy sex, and in some cases make it impossible to even become erect. If you are having your son circumcised for religious reasons, look into only having the ends of the foreskin removed (the portion protruding past the end of the penis) rather than having the entire thing peeled off and removed. |

I know, after two kids it sounds silly, but I have no experience with boys! At first you'll have to put Vaseline on *it* at diaper changes. No biggie. We learned with our second boy to smear the Vaseline inside the front of the diaper, so that wherever *it* touches, Vaseline will be there. DH says Charlie will be easier to change, as he won't have folds and layers of skin such as a vaginal area. Personally I find boys harder to change (I have a girl and 2 boys) cos of the risk of getting peed on - in the face. Most times it went up over his head though - lol. Pregnancy in general is going well...I really needed 9 mos. to mentally prepare for my girls, but this time around I would be ready to have Charlie tomorrow - LOL. Laura E. Hi and welcome Sophie #4 due 7/18/04 - 4th c-section |

I'll have to remember the Vaseline trick on the diaper. A frriend of mine
also suggested diapering "backwards" - instead of sliding the diaper underneath the bottom right away, cover up his front first, and then slide the diaper underneath. What works best? Kleenex? Burp Cloth? Extra diaper? How long do little boys do this? |

Open his diaper, spray, close it back over, let him pee, then change him. We used to just put a wash cloth over him. Or just change him super fast - lol. They say it's the cold air hitting them that makes them do that so I guess they stop when they get used to it, however my 2 yr old did it to me just the other morning for the first time in *ages* |
