I'm worried about being sick this close to the end. A friend of mine had that problem, and the baby picked it up. She ended up having a rush delivery (a bit of an inducement and forceps) because the baby was showing signs of distress. I don't want that. :-( Both she and the baby had to stick around in the hospital for a while afterwards in order to recover, and yet before she went in, all she had was something like a simple cold (it just got a lot worse with the stress of L&D).

Just try and stay calm and do what you can to get better quickly. Rest, lots of liquids (I find hot honey and lemon drinks work wonders), and think healthy thoughts. I told this baby it just has to stay put for another week, and today it seems its still listening to me .... now if only I could get rid of DD's fever completely (paracetamol tastes *disgusting* and she always seems to gag on it and throw up anyway ... I do have suppositories for her, but haven't had to try them ...yet). Luckily she has been responding to being kept cool by other means and her cough is certainly a lot better today.
