Default Did Janet's breast offend your child? (Gimme a break!)

So you're sitting in your home, with your family, watching
the half time show during the Super Bowl and a breast
is flashed on your screen! Wow! Big deal ....

Why are so many wining about the vulgarity of this
incident? And now the FCC threatens to levy fines
on all CBS affiliates who showed the single breast?

Now I know why the human body is so nasty .....

Get a clue, please. It's the utter, premeditated commercialization of
"the breast" at an inappropriate time and place that is the issue.
And, yes, it is pretty "nasty" when the "human body" is used in that
manner--assuming one considers the human body to include a rather
ridiculous and large piece of "body jewelry." Any child who was
offended by the occasion is showing good sense. More power to
him/her.

With her brother stealing National headlines lately, she felt left out.
Besides, she had to show off the boob job to someone.

I saw a video of that flash - she had a very large shiny pastie on
that nipple, so technically she wasn't showing her bare breast. And it
looks to me as if the incident was planned - or do other women wear
pasties under their bras?

IMHO the whole thing strikes me as vulgar commercialism on her part,
no matter how "shocked" she looked.

The vulgar part was the half-time music. Since the 50s, quality of popular
music has been going into the toilet.

Actually, it was not a pasty. It was a piercing with an open

center
(around the nipple, so the nipple was showing).

Nan

you saw all that in just the short flash on the screen?
i saw it live and it was truly a SHORT flash.

Hehe. This has amused me since last night.
I was more offended by Kid Rock wearing an American Flag than I was a
quick glimpse of Janet's breast. But nobody is complaining about
*that*

Nan

Yup, my wife commented on how she didn't like the flag shirt.
Personally, if anything good comes of this (apparently MTV will
no longer be allowed to produce the halftime show), maybe it's
that we won't have to put up with garbage acts like this.

I'm not whining about the vulgarity and breasts aren't a big deal. But, I
resent the action.
Why? Arrogance--It is pure arrogance that these two decided they were
important enough
to pull this off at this time and venue. For that, I hope they face criminal
charges. They simply are not important
enough to hijack the Super Bowl halftime. They can get their own show if
they wish to pull such antics.

I was kinda ticked about Kid Rock's flag thing.. especially since he does so
much with the USO and for the troops.. you'd think he'd have better flag
etiquette.

Apparently this is the most popular clip for those who have
TiVo's. I heard on the news that generally the commercials are
the most popular part of the game for those who choose to record
the game, but this is way more popular.

Here's an article:

http://news.com.com/2100-1041-5152141.html

What I want to know is, how does TiVo know this? Do they keep
track of what their customers are viewing? They say in the
article "The findings were based on an anonymous sampling of
20,000 TiVo subscribers" but does that mean they did a survey,
or got the info from their machines?
