He's packing up

Older Son is packing up in preparation for his move to Big State U. We'll
be moving him into his apartment on Saturday.

I am not a sentimental sort. But this is way harder than I expected.

I'm sure he will be fine. He's a good guy, with a good head on his
shoulders, and a real desire to succeed. So I'm not really worried. It's
just that I'm going to miss him.

Oh, come one. You're worried, too. You're supposed to be.

Look on the bright side: Your son could be living at home for another 18
years.

BTW, there is a good chance that you will get your son back for a few months
after college while he finds a job.
