U.S. Soldier's Death Is Tied To Vaccines
"Rich Shewmaker" wrote in message ... "Marko Proberto" wrote in message et... snip The woman received smallpox, typhoid, anthrax, hepatitis B and measles-mumps-rubella vaccine on March 2. On April 4, she died of lung complications caused by an acute attack of the autoimmune disease lupus. She had never shown symptoms, but analysis of two blood samples stored in the military's 30-million-sample repository showed that she had abnormalities associated with lupus as far back as 1998. The vaccinations apparently triggered a first "flare" of lupus, which an Army official, Col. John D. Grabenstein, said has been observed a few times in civilians. Neither panel cited a specific vaccine as the snip Sadly, this soldier died. Even assuming that it was vaccine related, it was the result of an immune system reaction which could not have been reasonably foreseen, as she had lupus, which was undiagnosed. Yes, one does wonder why the army physical did not pick up the "abnormalities associated with lupus" in 1998 when the specimens were processed. I wonder if this death will lead to changes in the labwork done on incoming recruits. I presume that the current testing protocol does not include several diseases which are more common amongst certain groups since they may be concerned with some form of "profiling." I think it is tragic that the anti-vac liars will use her unfortunate death to promote thier ill conceived, and evil, agenda. I always wonder what anti-vac people have to gain by preventing vaccination. Why do they do it? Is it just ill will toward science and conventional medicine in general? Or is it genuine hatred of children of the world and a desire for more people to die of infectious disease? Both is a reasonable choice. However, I suspect that there is a cult like rejection of vaccination since it is science based, but not reducible to a 30 second sound bite. |

When I was in service, we lined up and got the shots. Today, they keep blood samples. |

Are there any other unusual diseases you would like to routinely screen for in healthy asymptomatic recruits? She was brewing lupus for some time before the shots. I don't see how anyone can tell i the vaccines triggered it or if it was just a coincidence. Even if the abnormalities were known, or if she was known to have full blown lupus, it wouldn't have changed the decision to vaccinate her. -- CBI |

If it was known she had even latent lupus, she would have been discharged and not vaccinated. However, you do raise a good question: How far should medical screening go when one is in the military? How much givernment prying and snooping into one's medical history should there be? How far should the medical testing go? |
