By the way, how do you manage your three when your husband is away? Mine

is
leaving tomorrow for three days for a conference and I am afraid I am

going
to go stark, staring mad. Any advice?

Narcotics? For you or for them... either way you want to do it *grin*

ROFL!

Like Brigitte, I think I dread bedtime the most. I *so* rely on my husband
to read the older two their bedtime story while I put the 2yo down. When I
have to do it all myself, it is hell. Narcotics is not a bad idea, actually.
Maybe they'd skip the bedtime story if they were sufficiently drugged...

Be well, Barbara
Mom to Sin (Vernon, 2), Misery (Aurora, 4), and the Rising Son (Julian, 6)

Aurora (in the bathroom with her dad)--"It looks like an elephant, Daddy."
Me (later)--"You should feel flattered."

All opinions expressed in this post are well-reasoned and insightful.
Needless to say, they are not those of my Internet Service Provider, its
other subscribers or lackeys. Anyone who says otherwise is itchin' for a
fight. -- with apologies to Michael Feldman

You know, we gave up bedtime stories. They just
complicated the bedtime process too much. I figure there
are many times of the day to read to children, most of
which work out better for us than bedtime ;-) Putting
the kids down now is just tell them to brush their teeth
and get their pjs on, hop in bed, kiss them goodnight
(and then I go nurse the baby and she's down).

Best wishes,
Ericka
