Default "last" prenatal visit

In my mind -- since the next one is scheduled for 39 1/2 weeks. I
don't
think I am fooling myself too much about when baby will come -- I seem
to
keep shifting my preference to whatever gestation is about 10 days, 2
weeks from the current one I am 37 weeks, 4 days. I don't post much
but I lurk and here is my enthusiastic little "almost there" post for
those who can't get enough of this sort of thing, even if they don't
know the poster

Well, everything seems fine. Baby had even been tending posterior and
hanging out on the right last visit, 2 weeks ago, and today was
apparently
in a head-down (I am not sure how these things are officially
reckoned, but it seemed like the head was quite low in what I'd call
the pelvis,) left side, "transverse" position -- LOT? -- definitely
still moving around so I guess that is not alarming. I have been
getting a little more serious about the optimal fetal positioning
thing. The pelvic rocks and sitting leaning forward seem like they
bring baby down, although I thought they were supposed to be aimed at
correcting posterior positions. All I know is I get that frontal
bowling ball feeling afterward. Baby seemed as if engaged for a couple
of weeks from about 32-34 weeks and then starting making big swimming
movements again. I know second babies don't usually engage that early,
but I'm curious why it seemed to happen and then reverse itself. I was
taking more regular exercise walks then; fatigue, serious discomfort,
shopping, and maybe weather have been getting in the way.

I truly thank God for Gas-X as I started eating better a few weeks ago
and for some reason my digestive system started getting slow and/or
stopped up around the same time. You would think less grease and less
sugar and more fresh fruit and water would improve things, but things
had been okay and they got worse. Maybe it's a coincidence, and more
related to things being crowded in there. I still woke up very often
last night after a bedtime dose of simethicone but for once wasn't in
pain and could get out of bed and back to sleep more easily. Feel
silly for not trying it sooner.

In fact, I feel so much better with the help of that Gas-X that if we
didn't have more shopping to do I might just be up for an official
exercise walk! We need some furniture as baby's clothes storage
wouldn't fit well in our room with our current dresser, and we hate
our dresser anyway. We've got almost everything in order but have to
choose a type and brand of diaper cover and order that and the
prefolds, and get some other smallish things like a diaper pail and a
new nursing pillow and/or cover (washable Boppy covers seem like a
nice innovation.)
