Question about Roseola

Hi,

I have several questions about Roseola. Does the fever have to be
COMPLETELY gone when the rash starts to come out? Can the rash be so
mild and short that you almost miss it? Can the rash look spotty on
the face and scalp, but look different on the trunk? How can a
toddler get roseola if they really haven't been anywhere in weeks?
Okay, I'll stop with the questions now! lol!

The rash didn't show on our son, Xander, at all, but the doctors
theorized it was because by the time he would have shown the rash, he
was so seriously ill with the meningitis that it didn't show up and
in some cases the rash doesn't show up.

In our daughter, it was fairly uniform on her face -- just like
someone had slapped her cheeks -- and it was a spotty rash on her
trunk.

OK. My sister is doing much better, and my husband was at the end of
his rope. It's been much quieter and less stressful in our house.
