Hi y'all, just a brief intro. I've been lurking here since the ept came
back positive on March 28, but we went to the dr this past friday, and
since everything looks good I thought I'd say "Hi" to everyone. stats:
first pregnancy, age 35, a bit of a surprise, not quite 8 weeks along,
EDD Dec 2, 2004. So far I feel fine, with no real sickness to speak of,
but I'm sure it's out there waiting to get me. I'm mostly just tired,
and food holds no interest for me. I have it good, I guess

I'm looking forward to asking lots of stupid questions between now and
then! Oh, and reading everyone's good and helpful posts, too.

Best,
Rebecca

Welcome! I'm another December due date, but that is about as specific as I
can be! I thought the 8th, my midwife suggests more like Christmas. I hope
you continue to feel fine - I am having trouble sleeping, so am feeling
really crappy during the day. And with a 15 month old to look after, that
is not always a good thing!

Hi Rebecca

A big congratulations to you. Dec 2nd is a wonderful date - it's my
birthday!!!!

Looking forward to all the questions. I don't think there is such a thing
as a stupid question on this newsgroup.

All the best and I hope the MS avoids you :-)

Y'all are all too sweet! Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.

My SIL is expecting #2 (#1 just turned 2 in March) in December
also...they got the positive ept back about 2 weeks after I did. We
figure her EDD at about Dec 18 but she doesn't go to the dr for another
week and a half yet. Needless to say my mom is floored....all these
years and no grandbabies (we've been married 11 years, and B&SIL for 12)
and now she gets three within three years, the last two at the same
time. Since they live right up the street from us I'm excited about
having a cousin for my sprout the same age.

December should be a good month for babies!

Aww, that sounds really nice! I wish I had family nearby, but the
closest is a half an hour's drive away. A friend of mine just bought a
house literally about a block away from me, though, which is great and
will be loads of fun, but she has no kids.

My family is similar. My sister is 9 yrs older than me but got married
later. I had my daughter, then I didn't know she started TTC, I had my 2nd
child, I had my 3rd, she had her first 3 weeks later, in January she had her
2nd, and in July I'll have my 4th. If she'd had her children when our mom
did, she should have teenagers. I'm glad she didn't so the kids all have
cousins close in age.
