Default m/c question, morning sickness

I seem to have had a miscarriage yesterday, at around six or seven
weeks. I've had morning sickness for the past two weeks, not too bad but
unpleasant enough. When will it stop? It just doesn't seem fair to have
morning sickness while not even pregnant any more...

Are you sure you've had a m/c then? Have you been checked
by your care giver? Indeed m/s when not even pregnant is unfair!

I'm waiting to hear back from my doctor to see if she wants me to come
in, but I'm pretty certain -- I passed a largeish blood clot, and there
was more blood than with normal spotting.

That doesn't sound good. I hpe the doctor has helpful
information for you. I haven't BTDT, but I'm guessing that
the m/s is caused by hormones, and after a m/c your body
has to "figure out" that it's not pg anymore before it
goes away?

I'm so sorry for your loss!! It can take several weeks for your hormone
levels to drop far enough so the morning sickness disappears. I know it is
a painful reminder of what should have been and very unfair. Take your
time to grief. (((hugs)))

That's my guess too. Somehow part of my body knows not to be pregnant,
but other parts haven't gotten the memo yet...

Hi

That does so not mean that you have miscarried hun. I had a major bleed at 9
weeks and I will be pretty graphic here so if you go weak at the knees look
away NOW.

OK around 8 wks I started spotting but was not worried at this point it was
litrally a bit of brownish blood but nothing bad and nothing to worry about
but then at 9 weeks I had a bigger bleed which was on a Sunday and went to
Accident and Emergency and was checked out by an OB on duty but she sent me
home but told me to go back if it got any heavier or I started loosing
clots, I was pleased she had sent me home because I wanted to go to evening
church service, went to church service and then DH took me to a local
resturant for something to eat and I went to the toilet to check things and
things seemes great to the extent that it seemed that I had stopped bleeding
but then during the meal I started having mild contraction type pains. We
went home and then when I got home I went to the toilet to check things and
I had a major bleed so went to the hospital, by the time I got there pains
were really bad and every time I stood up blood just ****ed out of me (sorry
about the detail but did tell you it was graphic) nurse put me in a side
room as they already knew my problem and I waited for OB to come down, she
came down and wanted to examine me again and at first I said no because of
the amount of blood I was loosing and I was soooo worried it was going to be
too messy for her but she finally reasured me and presauded me to let her
look. I was the same as you by that point and knew that I had misscarried
(what i thought b4 scan) examinination showed that my neck of womb or
whatever was still closed but yes I had a 50/50 chance either way and I was
admitted to hospital. I hardly got any sleep that night due to having to run
to toilet every 15 mins to change pad and that is no exageration and at one
point I passed a clot and thought it was the baby it was that big ( big
enough for a 9 wk old fetus) and I called the midwife in who then told me I
must pee in a disposable toilet thing from now on as I needed to have
everything examined but no I had not as she believed passed the baby. The
bleeding kinda slowed down by the next day but I was CONVINCED baby was now
an angel in heaven and I did not want the scan, it felt like I was on death
row and that I just had to prepare myself for the wost moment of my life, At
11 0'clock I had my scan but REFUSED to look at the screen which would show
nothing but my empty womb where my baby should have been and I got the
biggest shock of my life when the scan woman turned and said, "baby is fine
can you see the heart beat"? Well I was never more shocked in my life and
just cried tears of happiness and told the woman I just wanted to hug and
kiss her.

No I am not saying you have defently not lost your baby but I am saying I am
proove there is hope, I am now nearly 4 months pregnant and continue to
carry my precios child and the bleeding stopped 2 weeks ago but because of
the bleed it does mean I have to be much more careful of the things I do.
Please dont believe your child is in heaven yet as it may not be. I wish you
all the luck in the world but until you have a scan please just REST as much
as you possibley can.

Love and Hugs

It would be best to go in to your doctor and have an u/s to verify that you
did miscarry, and perhaps do repeat hcg levels to make sure that your hcg
levels are dropping. Depending on what you experienced yesterday, you could
still be pregnant. I know several people who experienced enough bleeding at
6-7 weeks to make them SURE that they had lost the baby, only to find out
that they were indeed still pregnant.

Hugs and good luck.

Hmmm. My doctor agrees with you. We'll see later this week. Thanks!
