Early contractions. Oops.
On Friday I had my 23 week appt. with my midwife and basically got in
"trouble" for not contacting her about the cramping and discomfort I have been having at work and post work. I truly thought it was because of the work I do AND being #4 pregnancy. Well, I was wrong. Dang it. After a horrible weekend of cramping I felt better yesterday, but began having mild waves of discomfort again today (I'm avoiding the whole contraction term. heehee) so finally called the midwife to chat. Needless to say I was sent down the hall from my unit to Maternity for monitoring. Ahhh, resting with my feet up was heaven I had several while there, but each one was less than the previous and within a very short time I was feeling much better and back to nearly normal. Yeah! So, now I am to check in a bit more often and keep track of what's going on instead of feigning ignorance. Fortunately everything is great with baby and my cervix so I will carry on as tolerated. Anyone else have a very active uterus at this stage? Kelly #4 2/12/05 |
