My theory...
Hi all...
I'm just ten weeks now with #3 (I still haven't told many people, so I can't believe it when I say it out loud!) and I'm already finding my pants getting tight. I don't know if that's something that happened to the rest of you on the third one, but this seems to be happening earlier than before. Now, ordinarily, the damage caused to my stomach muscles by the first two is minimally visible. It sort of hangs discreetly below my bellybutton in a little, squishy pouch. Not so big that I can't hide it with some snug underwear if the need should arise, but not so small that I forget I've had two kids either. My problem right now is the uterus is growing fairly quickly this time, and it seems to be pushing my little belly-pouch up higher than it normally resides. As a result, I seem to be getting a gut I've never had before. So my theory is that fat rises as the baby grows, and settles in unusual formations. Has anyone else experienced this, or am I a freak of pregnancy? L.A. |
