Hey Jayne ( Spirited boys in cub scouts revisited)
-L. wrote: It sounds wonderful and fascinating. It sounds like it would meet the needs of kids who aren't challenged or stimulated in a tradtional school setting. I loathed school as I was always way beyond the material and bored socially - I think I would have thrived in that type of environment. We are considering HS for DS - but our current school district is really good, and he is an exceptionally social toddler (loves kids and adults), so just don't know what we will do yet. Luckily we have plenty of time to figure it out. I may enter him in preschool early and see how he does. This is a good approach, since there are so many factors in the decision to homeschool. You can take the time to learn about what is involved in homeschooling, what the schools in your area are like, how your child responds to various situations, etc. Eventually, it should all come together and you will have a feel for the best thing for your family.
