After 13 years, mom gets $66,000 in child support
Hey Zimm:
He was meeting his obligation. He was paying 600 dollars a month plus 1600 in alimony. 2200 dollars a month in tax free income for her. And she needed more? Assuming this case is average, she wanted and received custody for the children. If she wanted her kids to live the same lifestyle as her ex-husband, then she should have gave the kids to him. 600 dollars is half of 1200. Is 1200 a month what the kids cost? Sounds kind of high to me. So I guess 600 dollars a month is exceedingly generous in splitting the cost of raising the kids. As usual, another custodial mom does not want to take responsibility for her desire to have custody of the children. And our wonderful CS system is right on top of it, punishing the Dad.
