Luvs Diapers ~ Leaking out of top?
"Carol Ann" wrote in message news:R6jnc.9386$z06.1768466@attbi_s01... Any ideas about WHY this keeps happening? They leak off the left side. When I pick Morgan up she's wet all over the side she is lying on. Are Luvs THAT cheap? I've never had any problems with Luvs. They are the brand of choice in my house. With both of my kids, I've found that when I find several leaks or blowouts over the course of a few days, sizing up to the next size diaper usually alleviates the problem. Is it possible that it might be time to switch to the next bigger size? Tracey in CT |

Luvs Diapers ~ Leaking out of top?
Any mom of 7 children MUST know what she is talking about!
Happy Mother's Day! Thanks Carol Ann - but I have to admit that even with 7 kids, things catch me by surprise quite often Practice makes perfect only in non-parenting realms! The only advantage that having lots of kids has is that with each one, you have a larger bag of tricks to try with each future child. You might also want to keep the idea of cloth diapers in mind. My kids can't wear them for more than a day or two no matter how I wash them but you might have better luck. I do have the All In One Cloth diapers, but they look so big right now. I guess I should try one on Morgan. If only to wear at nite. Happy Mother's day to you too, I hope Morgan gives you at least a little break! It does get easier, and it probably will for you pretty soon now. My first was very high-needs (well, most of mine have been high-needs) and colicky for months, but you'd never know it now. Right around 4 months he turned into a cheerful little boy. It was really bad for awhile though - my mom later told me that she honestly didn't believe we'd have any more kids because he'd been so colicky. DH put his hand through the wall at one point - less than 20 hours of sleep per week is not a good thing - and I thought of tossing the child out the window or giving him to my mom since he obviously didn't like me. It was a pretty rough time all the way around but somehow we survived. Now he's almost 18 and it hasn't been too bad at all Nothing since colic has been too bad with him actually. Wow, 18!! Amazing! Kevin tried to watch Morgan, but he doesn't have the patience to deal with the crying. BTW - my little one is quite enchanted with Morgan and Andrea's Lydia... most babies he'll look at and smile, but those two? He just talks up a storm to their photos and grins really hugeg I think he's got excellent taste, Morgan and Lydia are both beautiful little girls. Wow, thank you! Morgan seems to grow more alert as each day passes. She now shifts her eyes well. When she makes eye contact (or what seems like it)...my heart just melts. I had a great Mother's Day. I hope you did as well. Stephanie mom to 7 17, 15, 12, 8, 6, 3 and 11 months Wow, still can't imagine 7!!! ~Carol Ann Mom to Morgan born 3.24.04 http://tinyurl.com/299ot ---Pictures of Morgan |

Luvs Diapers ~ Leaking out of top?
"Carol Ann" wrote (I wrote stuff and snipped most of it for this reply) Now he's almost 18 and it hasn't been too bad at all Nothing since colic has been too bad with him actually. Wow, 18!! Amazing! Kevin tried to watch Morgan, but he doesn't have the patience to deal with the crying. My dh didn't either. He tried really hard, but when you're 20, it's your first baby and you're in the Navy working more hours than any human should... it's not easy at all. He would try but the more baby cried, the more stressed we all got and I couldn't take it. With the later fussy ones, I made it a point to let him walk/hold the baby anyway and I would either concentrate on one or more of the other kids or take a shower or something. I wish I'd done that more with the first one, I might not have been so stressed... Also, he might not have felt so alienated from me and baby. Hard lesson learned, but time heals much and teaches much Funny thing now? My dh has more patience with the fussiness than I do! Good thing my Z is mostly past the fussy stage since dh is out on the road for a month or two at a time nowg Wow, thank you! Morgan seems to grow more alert as each day passes. She now shifts her eyes well. When she makes eye contact (or what seems like it)...my heart just melts. I had a great Mother's Day. I hope you did as well. It just gets better the older they get. I miss the newborn smell quite a bit, and I won't have that joy for quite a long time.. and I miss the snuggly moments. But in return, I get first wobbly steps, gorgeous toothy grins, a couple naps for cuddles.. and the joy of watching these little ones grow up into neat people. Aggravating people at times, lol, but worth it overall. Mother's Day was a pretty normal day around here, though I'm doing good on my spring cleaning for a change. Dh called me last night and again today and will call later too.. he's pretty close to your area right now actually! Just a couple states away. MIL missed her message from me because she's on her way to orientation and training (trucking) but dh did get a chance to talk to her earlier today luckily.. and I sent my mommy a card to thank her for being who she is.. I know my dad is spoiling her rotten this year - he's much better at that with all the kids out of the houseg Both my little sisters (17 and 20) are dealing with finals at college this week, hope they got a chance to call her. Big brother has a couple kids himself so has to treat his wife and momg (or at least help the boys treat mom..) Stephanie mom to 7 17, 15, 12, 8, 6, 3 and 11 months |
