Default Do I need another stroller?

We have a lightweight Graco stroller (don't know the name. We like it
a lot. We fit the infant carrier in it when she was small. Now she
just sits in it. Now that we'll have another baby, We'll come back to
the infant carseat in the stroller arrangement. I'm thinking if I get
my DD an umbrella stroller it should do it. She'll be 1.5 yrs by the
time new baby arrives.

DH thinks umbrella stroller is uncomfortable so we should get another
regular stroller for her. What do you think?

Thanks.

Ted,
baby trends makes a stroller called a sit and stroll, one child can sit on
the back of the stroller where you push and a car seat can be attached to
the inside of the stroller part until the other one is old enough to sit in
the stroller which would eliminate the need for an umbrella stroller. That
is what I plan on using when we decide it is time for #2.

My kids were pretty comfortable in umbrella strollers, at least for
shorter trips. For longer ones, I always used a bigger one, both so
they could like down and sleep and so they could sit up more comfortably.

When #2 arrived, we got the "Sit 'n Stand" stadium seating stroller (#1 was 2.5
at the time). It had the front and back seats, but the back one comes off to
reveal a bench as well as a place for the older kid to stand and ride. DD#1 is
3 years, 3 months and still uses the seat sometimes. The only downside is
there is not a lot of storage when using the regular seat, if you are going to
be using it for errands/mall/etc.

i think you need another real stroller and an umbrella. I use a double
stroller (duoglider) for my 2. DS was 25 months when DD was born. They are
now 3 and 1 and still in the double. If i want DS to walk or it's a short
thip then DD goes in the Pliko. Sometimes I use the side by side double
umbrella too.

My very tall 19-month-old still fits in his cheapo umbrella stroller,
and doesn't mind it. He won't fit in it this winter, though, when he's
wearing snow clothes.
