"Ellen" wrote in message m... I have a child who has seizures within 10 minutes of going to sleep does anyone know anything about this kind of seizures Thanks Ellen There is a disorder called Landau-Kleffner Syndrome where seizures during sleep literaly strip away the speech and language ability of a child. It is often called by its initials: LKS. This is not to be taken lightly... go to a good child neurologist. Sometimes medication will help, though one child I knew with LKS had to have surgery (always a last resort). Also go to http://www.epilepsyfoundation.org for more information. |
