No more LAM, thoughts on IUD

According to my doctor, the copper-T heavy bleeding problem is rare for nursing mothers. Basically, you have heavy periods while adapting to it. If, however, you have it inserted early on (while baby is young) then your body adapts long before you have your first period. I had mine inserted at 6 weeks. I had a fair amount of spotting then (some real light pink stuff for more than week), but no period yet (baby is now 3.5 months). -Jan |
