Default Do you have to - was supplementing with formula - does anyone here?

I am very keen to not use formula, apart from the ethical nestle
stuff, there is all the hassle of bottles and sterilizing I really
don't want to be bothered with. Also, me and his dad are allergic to
cows milk so he may be and soya is full of hormones so thats another
reason for me not to go that route.

At 4 months my milk supply is fine, Moo boys poos have just changed so
I guss my milk has changed in some way too.

Is my supply likely to change? He isnt on solids yet - can I just
wean straight onto solids and miss out the formula?

It seems the others have either started their babies on solids at
around 4 months and/or are supplementing with forumla. Is this common
practice? I am not considering it for us but would like to know if
any of you lot supplement.

I did...well, didn't wean, but P hasn't had any formula at all. Rice
Dream is a good alternative (P loves it).

It sounds like Andrea is a bit in over her head, and I do hope she
reconsiders having another baby into that mix in any kind of hurry. A
few years for things to settle a bit wouldn't be amiss.

IRL, I'm usually known as the outspoken bitch and even *I* can recognize
this as crossing the line of inappropriateness.

Dawn routinely crosses that line on rec.equestrian. In fact she's a

regular
Dr. Jekyll (here) and Ms. Low-self-esteem-Nasty over there. I note she
keeps herself in check much more here.

I cannot begin to understand your fixation nor your own nastiness and
inappropriateness in posting this comment in your continued quest to
incite and bait.

You know DAMN WELL how your trolling and baiting posts on the other group
are received. Don't act dumb. If you dislike trolling and baiting, then
cut it the hell out on rec.eq. Check out your troll bait to me 5 minutes
before my post here as an exemplar. You ARE a split personality or someone
else is using your addy.

LEAVE ME ALONE. Apparently killing filing hasn't prevented you from
continuing to troll and bait my posts when they are quoted in other's
replies.

LEAVE ME ALONE.

I apologise.
I didn't mean that as a bitchy comment, tho I see how it was badly
written. Andrea herself speaks of adding at least one more child and I
mostly meant that many small children and children with special needs
must be very draining.
Andrea, things sound very hectic for you just now, and I hope life
settles down for you soon.

Dawn

Don't worry Dawn I am not offended.

Thanks for replying Andrea.
Unfortunately my post delurked a sillly woman who refuses to killfile
me, but I'm glad I didn't offend you with my poorly written post.

If you say that again, I'm going to post a very long list of your trolling
and baiting posts to me on the other group. I know you will refuse to
believe it but your insult to me about holding both reins and a dressage
whip elicited a private email agreeing with my characterization of your as a
"****head".

I apologise to mkb for this foolishness from Sharon.
Unfortunately she may resurface again here if she doesn't like something
I post to rec.equestrian as she's promised "retaliation" here. I'm not
sure that there's anything I can do, as usenet is a public forum, and I
can't see being censored for entirely standard posts to another group.

Goodness yes! Formula certainly isn't manditory :-)
I nursed Hunter for 20 months. He did not have one taste of formula and I
worked full time (only used daycare part time). I supplemented Luke at 6
months but if I would have felt really strongly about it (or if he couldn't
have tolerated it) I'm sure I could have avoided it with him as well. He
wanted a bottle of milk and I wanted him to have it....and I didn't want to
pump when I was home and all weekend.

So respect each others individual circumstances before you attack.

I almost never see attacks on this group. I do see people who tell it
like is, and people who can't handle hearing the truth because it
doesn't gibe with whatever they've told themselves to justify their own
poor choices, so they feel "attacked." When I've made the right choice,
or the best choice I could, I never have that feeling. Funny, that.

Emily

I didn't mean attacked as in myself, I meant many women on here that have
been attacked.
I will continue to make my own decisions about bringing up my children.
People offer advice, but at the end of the day it's down to the individual
to decide, and just because people don't like it, doesn't mean they should
be attacked for their choice.

Ah, but DO keep in mind that refering to women as ass-kissing sheep
isn't exactly avoiding the attack mode yourself. ;-)
EVERYone has to make their own decisions, and advice and information is
all that CAN be offered on a forum like this. This IS mkb, and so it's
very likely that early solids, feeding formula and the like will receive
negative comments, as there is substantial evidence to say these aren't
optimal choices.

You can certainly make your own decisions, no one here can decide
anything for you. All the posters here try to do, as far as I can see,
is to provide the latest, most accurate data to base one's decisions on.
You're welcome to form your own conclusions, but not to expect the
rest of us to agree.

Apparently in Dawn's world, "entirely standard" = "trolling and baiting"
that never end.

Note the lack or denial that she is trolling my posts and baiting me.

Note also how she refuses to LEAVE ME ALONE. Why?
