Default "bad" milk causing vomiting?

My 5 month old had an episode of violent vomiting at daycare yesterday.
They said she ate normally, took a nap and when the caregiver picked her up
she vomited three times in rapid succession, and it sounds like it might
have been projectile vomiting. She came home, took an extra long nap (45
min instead of 20min) and has been fine ever since, eating normally, not
fussing, etc. I'm wondering if maybe the frozen milk daycare used that day
had gone bad (it's stored in a dorm style refrigerator with little freezer
tray) . I rotate through the frozen bags, but I wonder if one didn't get
left in there for a few weeks or more. Anyone know if a baby would drink
"bad" milk (wouldn't it taste awful?), and if she did, would it result in
short lived but violent vomiting?

Thanks!
Amy

I've no idea how it happened, but I remember giving my 1st duaghter a cup of
cow's milk, she was about 14 months or so (this was years ago, so I can't
remember exactly how old she was). She drank it, and did a sort of "yuck
shiver", we encouraged her to drink more, she drank some more and did
another "yuck shiver" ... strange we thought ..... I checked the cup, it was
*grossly sour milk* .... YIKES .... I felt so awful ... she wasn't sick
though. You'd think she'd have done more than just "shiver", throw the cup
or something, or push it away and shake her head, she didn't.

It's a really strong memory, and I still can't believe she drank the stuff
without actually complaining is some way.

Alot of babies (or toddlers not speaking yet) will do that. It's
weird, isn't it! It's like they expect it will taste differently this
time, or this time, or maybe *this* time.

It probably tasted a bit like yoghurt

Babies will drink milk that's sour. Heck, we sometimes don't notice
that the milk we pour onto YoungBloke's cornflakes is off but he still
eats them! He also happily drank my milk despite it not storing at all
well (lipase issues) and tasting like soap. I couldn't stand the taste
but he drank 200mls a day at nursery no trouble!

Whether it was that that caused the vomiting or something else, I
don't know. Sometimes stomach bugs can go around a nursery at
breakneck speed, and go through the children equally quickly.

Could just as easily have been a virus. Who knows?
