Default Baby being sick

Hi there,

I have an 11 week old son. Everytime after his bottle he is sick, not
just normal sick but projectile vometing. Of course after his has
been sick he is hungry again. Something is abviously wrong but don't
know what. Anybody got any ideas?

Call your doctor. This sounds like something called pyloric stenosis. So
this may be a potentially serious problem. It might not be. But unless we
can get his full history, family history and examine him, we can't tell.

Your doctor can.

Could be normal.

Could be something as overfeeding or something as relatively
benign and treatable as reflux.

Could be a serious problem requiring surgery (like pyloric
stenosis). Make an appt to see the doc.

Your neonate needs breast milk not the crap they sell in bottles.
It would make me sick too

Did you ever taste formula? It tastes nasty. I think breast milk would taste
pretty nasty.

Jonny,

Are you using anti-depressants or any stimulant drugs. County hospital newborn
babies throw up a lot (called rumination) if their mothers are taking any
stimulant drugs. The baby is usually given to a surrogate mother not on drugs
in order to cease the vomiting.
Write if more info is needed.

I am curious about YOUR opinion of antidepressents. Do you really
belive what you say? Have you ever had to choose between being a good parent
or not. Don't you think that the parents that take stimulants(mostly for ADD
or ADHD) or antidepressents do so to be good parents. If you are trying to
make them feel bad for using these medications you are doing a good job. Poo
on you. I feel bad for you. If you feel so strongly about this, don't break
down peoples foundation before giving them something else to stand on.
thank you
