Default Parents have the right to exercising parental discipline

As in in the bible--God's word.

INDIANA SUPREME COURT
Court reverses mother's battery conviction for whipping son with belt or
extension cord
State high court says Sophia Willis was reasonably exercising parental
discipline.

Excerpts:

"In response to a charge of battery, Willis raised the defense of parental
discipline privilege.

The court also said that parents have a legal privilege to discipline their
child as long as punishment is reasonable and not likely to cause serious or
permanent harm.
