The costs spiral upward, but then the costs of most things have
spiraled upwards. Public schooling costs are not increasing as fast
as private school tuitions.

The quality of the education is not plummeting downward, but in fact
is also increasing. My kids got much better education in school than
I did 40 years ago.

If you have an idea to the contrary from media reports then it is the
one-sided quality of media reports.

If this most basic fact eludes you then you are way out of your league.

I have a superior mastery of basic facts to anything you've shown.

He considers that anyone having to follow any rules imposed by someone
else (except their parents, I guess, since he approves of
homeschooling, even though such parents may impose more rules than do
any school) is "suffering".

You really don't know much about homeschooling do you Bob?

I know enough.

Its not about *rules*, it's about *learning*, for a lifetime.

It's about parental control-freaks, as often as not.

I have previously posted numerous refutations of Gatto's shoddy,

There ya go, Bob admits to the standard socialist smear job they are famous
for.

Since my postings contain criticisms that I developed myself, after
researching that his posted information was false, there is nothing
"standard" about what I wrote.

But you've been given a chance to freely and relevantly promote your
wife's books and website, and are failing to do so. This leads people
to believe you are a fraud.

Bob, Bob, Bob.
No one can be this silly, can they?
My wife doesn't need giggle your charity.

I don't give a **** about your wife; I wouldn't buy her book. It is
YOUR credibility that is at stake. You spout your ideological
bull****, but have nary a verifiable fact to support anything you
claim. Well the claim that your wife is selling a book could be at
least slightly supported by a URL.

Believe it or not, Bob, there is a great big world outside this newsgroup.
Turn the monitor off, Bob, take a walk outside, meet some REAL people for a
change.

I meet lots of real people. You aren't one of them; you are a phony.

Ah - then you have cites. Please let us know where you may have any
underpinnings to your rantings here.

What books have you published?

Google is your friend, use it.
Start with the word: homeschooling

If you think you can handle it, Google: John Gatto

Are you "John Gatto"? Yes or no.

No.
Did you google him?

You said you had written books and your wife had homeschooling websites.
I asked for cites.
You said "John Gatto"
I asked if you were him.
You said "no".

So we're back to those books supposedly you (no, not John Gatto) have written.

Cites to your book, please.

I never said I paved all the roads leading to my house. Only the one in

wouldn't pave it so I took it on myself.

But, you wanted the city to do it so you wanted our tax money (if we
lived in your city) to pave your street.

Well, it cost $600 to pave the road myself, and I paid over $3k in taxes, so
I think I have some change coming back.
Now, what was that you were saying about me wanting you to pay for it?

??

You paved a road for $600.00??

All the road you need to drive on around town?

Now you're merely ignoring the cost of police, fire, and all the other
public services you consume. You're one of those greedy little "tax-
rebels" who imagines his money is being routed to government workers
as graft. You're merely indulging in wishful accounting.

Supporting the public prisons is the worst thing you can do to children, the
society and yourself.
Open your eyes, look around at what you're creating.

Prisons is an excellent place to put little tax cheats such as yourself
when we catch you.

What is it with you socialists that you are constantly expecting others do

Go do your own research and homework.

You haven't learned a fundamental rule of discourse, then.

The burden of proof lies with the person who has made the assertion.

Your failure to do so is noted.

Your admission to ignorance of the cost of public schooling is appalling.

Not since it never occurred, liar.

Unsubstantiated?
Is this the part where I call you a bald faced liar, Bob?

Hmmm, still no evidence to support his statement about quality and cost
of
education.

to do stuff for you, and give you stuff?

We do, with regard to our own statements and opinions. We are not
obliged to seek out information to support your statements, especially
since such information does not exist because your statements are
false.

Go do your own research and homework.

We have.

It won't be hard, just pick up any newspaper, all of them have almost
daily
articles about the increasing costs and declining quality of public
schooling.

You believe what you read in the paper without questioning it?

What is there to question when the costs outlined in the newspaper are
supported by property tax bills?
You really ought to consider getting your head out, Bob.
It is cleary documented that public schooling costs spiral upward while the
quality of the education plummets downward.
If this most basic fact eludes you then you are way out of your league.

----------------------
The only thing that is documented is how when you greedy little tax
cheats try to drive down school budgets, the schools fail to work
as well.
