Micaela's first joke

Occasionally, especially when tired, Micaela, now 9 1/2 months, exercises
her vocal chords by repeating a constant pitch, constant volume note:
"aaaaaah".

A few days ago, she started this, and I decided to join her.

We sat face-to-face, about a foot (30 cm) apart, nose-to-nose. I found

pitch and rhythm, and the two of us were "aaaaaah"-ing together, sounding
like a single voice.

aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah
aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah aaaaaah

This continued for several seconds, then, on one "aaaaaah," she suddenly
raised her pitch, so I was no longer in step with her.

She stopped "aaaaaah"-ing, looked at me, and giggled. Micaela's first
joke.

Awwww. DD and I do the singing thing too Its especially cute when they
pick the same pitch as the vacuum cleaner or the car engine .... with gear
changes
