Default Why did Frodo die in ROTK?

Is this subject header even ACCURATE, for pity's name, or is it just some troll
stirring up trouble? I am interesting in seeing the movie, but not until AFTER
the holidays blow over, but I'm not worried about spoilers necessarily. It's
just a movie, but I do wonder a bit if this thread is much ado over nothing.

While Shakespeare wrote much ado about nothing, I'd say that the header is
not particularly accurate. Read the books.....

That wouldn't necessarily have anything to do with the movies per se. Jackson
HAS taken a few liberties here and there. However, I checked with a reliable
friend, and this is one liberty Jackson DIDN'T take. As one might expect, the
subject header was as full of BS as its author. Go back to your homes, people,
nothing to see here...

Yes, of the three movies in this series, the least liberties were taken with
this last one. I don't recall catching any glaring differences this time,
and that was nice.

Er, is it even possible to "spoil" the Lord of the Rings movies? Usually
the ones who dislike spoilers the most are half the diehard fans (the

other
half liking spoilers the most) - but in this case, seems like most of the
diehard fans aready read the ending even before the movies came out.

Frodo doesn't die in the book.

You aren't saying he did in the movie, are you. I *hate* it when
people talk about movies I haven't seen yet. One of the kids on my
soccer team kept spewing details yesterday before the game. Grrr.

I do that too sometimes. But I don't watch movies I haven't seen
before because I can't stand the suspense of how they come out. I
don't like suspense and it gives me nightmares. So it really makes no
difference to me whether you put a spoiler in the subject line or the
body or anywhere 'cause I have no intention of ever seeing the movie
unless I get trapped into it by a grandchild.

This thread spawned as a result of another thread where a thoughtless poster
used that very statement as the thread title, such that, you didn't even
need to read the content to have the ending already spoiled.

On the flip side, the statement has been fully discredited as TOTALLY FALSE,
making it quite clear that it was just a troll trying to stir up trouble.

No Tolkien necessary to draw THAT conclusion - - take a look at the crossposted
newsgroups targetted..

Which statement? The Frodo thing or something I wrote?
