Default MDs paralyzing babies; Dr. Nath to help PREVENT Erb's palsy?

PREGNANT WOMEN: MDs are senselessly closing birth canals up to 30% by using
semisitting and dorsal delivery. You can help prevent an episiotomy -
protect your VAGINA -
by helping to protect your baby's brain...

It's EASY to allow your birth canal to OPEN the "extra" up to 30% - but see
the WARNING below...

LADIES: If you've already given birth - if you gave birth on your back or
butt and your baby was paralyzed or otherwise harmed - I'm hoping you will
contact a successful birth trauma attorney like Kathleen Zellner (see the
very end of this post).

MDs ARE PARALYZING BABIES: WILL DR. NATH HELP **PREVENT** THAT WHICH HE
TREATS?

"The majority of children with obstetric brachial plexus injuries have risk
factors for a difficult delivery such as large size, use of forceps or
vacuum, and shoulder dystocia."
--Rahul K. Nath, MD
http://www.drnathbrachialplexus.com/injury/children.asp

OPEN LETTER (archived for global access at:

Rahul,

MDs have "an ethical obligation to prevent harm."
--Clarence Braddock III, MD, MPH
http://www.ama-assn.org/ama/pub/category/4382.html

Since you list "difficult delivery" risk factors for obstetric brachial
plexus injuries ("large size, use of forceps or vacuum, and shoulder
dystocia")...

Since it is "established obstetric teaching that a narrow pelvic outlet
predisposes to a difficult vaginal delivery..."
--Dr. Andrea Froschauer-Frudinger et al. [Br J Obstet Gynaecol
2002;109(11):1207-12]

Difficult deliveries caused by obstetricians senselessly narrowing pelvic
outlets (see the postscript) are likely causing some obstetric brachial
plexus injuries.

Please meet your ethical obligation to prevent that which you treat.

Thanks for reading,

Sincerely,

Todd

PS Rahul, this is not the first time I've written to you about
MD-obstetricians committing obstetric crime that is sending you tiny surgery
patients.

Since you and your physician colleagues aren't helping to stop
MD-obstetricians from senselessly closing birth canals, I am hoping shoulder
dystocia/Erb's ATTORNEYS (or DAs) will stop the massive obstetric crime, as
in the following Open Letter to Attorney Kathleen Zellner...

ATTY KATHLEEN ZELLNER'S BIRTH TRAUMA JACKPOTS!

Example:

"$3,000,000...for a brachial plexus injury that occurred at birth resulting
in partial paralysis of her right hand and arm."

Kathy,

I think your birth trauma jackpots would SKYROCKET if you started telling
juries that MDs are senselessly closing birth canals up to 30%.

Since MDs won't stop of their own accord...

Since DAs are dragging their feet...

See FBI: AMA 'pedo-priests': Will DA Cooley prosecute?
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2289

WHY NOT A CLASS ACTION? Maybe you could stop the grisly mass obstetric
travesty with a class action lawsuit.

At the very least, you could add "Birth on back or butt - dorsal or
semisitting" to your brachial plexus injury risk factors...

Thanks for reading,

Sincerely,

Todd

ATTENTION SHOULDER DYSTOCIA ATTORNEYS at
http://www.shoulder-dystocia-attorne...l/contact.html and The Erb's
Palsey Lawyers Network via http://www.erbspalsy.com/contactUs.htm

Why won't shoulder dystocia attorneys tell juries that MDs are knowingly
closing birth canals up to 30%?

Does anyone know ONE shoulder dystocia attorney who is doing this?

It's a "slam-dunk" case: MDs are admitting ON VIDEO that they are routinely
closing birth canals!

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists/ACOG shoulder
dystocia training video purports to show MDs how to OPEN birth canals when
shoulders get stuck - which of course means that MDs are knowingly CLOSING
birth canals! One doesn't need to know any biomechanics to figure this out!

For the kicker, though, one needs some simple biomechanics: The ACOG method
of opening the birth canal actually keeps it closed!

See IMPROPER McRoberts can save tiny lives and tiny limbs...
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/chiro-list/message/1308

Why won't shoulder dystocia attorneys tell juries that MDs are knowingly
closing birth canals up to 30%?

FURTHER PROOF (that MDs know they are closing birth canals)...

The simple biomechanics are openly stated by British National Health
Service/NHS West Midlands Perinatal
Institute/WMPI/Jason Gardosi, MD, Director who writes of the semirecumbent
delivery position (semisitting):

"...the weight of the mother is in part taken on the sacrum which is
therefore pushed upwards, thus decreasing the antero-posterior diameter of
the pelvic outlet..."
http://www.wmpi.net/reviews/oe/oe_shoulder_dystocia.htm

MDs and MBs: If you must push or pull - and sometimes you must - first get
the woman off her sacrum!

I copied this info to SHOULDER DYSTOCIA ATTORNEYS via:
http://www.shoulder-dystocia-attorne...l/contact.html

See Shoulder dystocia tomfoolery: Attorneys could stop it...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2276

No answer yet.

How can birth trauma attorneys have better things to do than tell juries
that MDs are closing birth canals?

One of the most prominent birth trauma attorneys in the nation (Weisbrod;
not and MD) did NOTHING when I informed of a key error in a textbook chapter
he co-authored...

Well, Atty Weisbrod did SOMETHING - he wrote and blamed his MD-attorney
partner (Nocon) for the obvious mistake!

See Blame, Attorney Weisbrod and the 'God within' (our courts of law)...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/1531

MD-attorney Nocon has said nothing...

See James Nocon, MD, JD (Also: Dateline NBC: Marsden Wagner, MD v. ACOG
(Sunday,
Sept. 16)...

SHOULDER DYSTOCIA ATTORNEYS

PLEASE start telling juries that MDs should not pull on babies' head when
their shoulders are stuck in birth canals senselessly being closed up to
30%.

Thanks,

Sincerely,

Todd

Dr. Gastaldo

PS My thanks to Marie, PBS and a fine chap for stimulating me to write this
post.

END Gastaldo's Open Letter to Attorney Kathleen Zellner

OBSTETRIC SPINAL MANIPULATION CRIME

In addition to routinely closing birth canals up to 30%, MDs often
GRUESOMELY
manipulate babies' spines (push with oxytocin; pull with forceps/vacuums)
with
the birth canal senselessly closed up to
30%.

An estimated six babies per day DIE from vacuum-assisted spinal manipulation
alone - with birth canals senselessly closed up to 30%.

See again: How NOT to do McRoberts maneuver...
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2258

As indicated above, MD-obstetricians are slashing vaginas en masse
(euphemism
"routine episiotomy") - surgically/FRAUDULENTLY inferring that everything
possible has been done to OPEN the birth canal - even as they CLOSE the
birth canal!

DELIBERATE TEARS IN VAGINAS...

Michael C. Klein, MD writes: "[E]pisiotomy is a deliberate second degree
tear." [Birth. Letter.
2002;29(1):74]

Some MDs are still claiming (fraudulently) that their episiotomies are
*preventing*
severe tears clear to the anus when in fact MDs are CAUSING severe tears
clear to the anus!

In 1990 the National Institutes of Health researched the issue and found
that deliberate tears by
MDs (episiotomies) cause fifty times MORE severe tears (tears clear to the
anus) relative to leaving the vagina alone.[Shiono et al. Obstet Gynecol
1990;75(5):765-70. In Klein et al. Online J Curr Clin Trials
(Jul1)1992, Doc. No. 10]

"The most common diagnosis for hospitalization among all women is trauma to
perineum due to childbirth."
http://www.ahcpr.gov/data/hcup/factbk3/factbk3.htm

MDs are deliberately/senselessly traumatizing perinea - and
calling it "childbirth." (!)

This is not childbirth! This is MEDICAL birth - obvious criminal
activity...

MDs are not only hospitalizing women DURING birth - they are using birth to
hospitalize
women AFTER birth!

This is MASSIVE health fraud!

PREGNANT WOMEN: To offer your baby the up to 30%
"extra" - simply roll onto your side as you push your baby out!

There are LOTS of "alternative" delivery positions that allow the birth
canal to open maximally - kneeling, hands-and-knees, squatting, standing,
etec.

Talk to your MD or CNMwife NOW - before your delivery!

WARNING: Some MDs and CNMwives may still close your birth canal (!), as
in,

"[M]ost doctors and [nurse] midwives are accustomed to the semisitting
position...[T]hey may be willing to let you try other positions, if you
ask...[But]...as you get close to delivery...[they] may ask you to move
to [semisitting]..."
[Simkin, P, Whalley J, Keppler, A. Pregnancy, Childbirth and the
Newborn: The Complete Guide (Expanded and updated). Meadowbrook Press:
Minnetonka, MN (dist. by Simon and Schuster). 2001:201]

4.6% of "healthy" term babies are born with unexplained brain bleeds!

And up to 3% of cephalic vaginal deliveries suffer shoulder dystocia!
http://www.imfm.net/mfmtext/shoulder/index.htm

LADIES: If your baby's shoulders get stuck inside you, do NOT let the MD
pull with you on your back/butt, closing your birth canal.

You should not have been on your back/butt closing your birth canal in the
first place!

Talk to your MD or CNMwife about this today - BEFORE your birth.

It's sort of a chiropractic emergency.

Please help stop MDs from closing birth canals.

Please share this info with as many pregnant women as possible.

B ACK TO RAHUL NATH, MD...

Rahul,

I think it is WONDERFUL that surgery offers hope in obstetric brachial
plexus injuries.

But basically you are charging money to pull drowning babies (Erb's cases)
out of the river all the while ignoring the fact that MD-obstetricians are
pushing babies off a cliff (dorsal and semisitting deliveries) not so far
upstream.

Please explicitly inform women who bring their babies to you that
MD-obstetricians have no business putting women on their backs/butts at
delivery.

Please explicitly inform them that if they gave birth on their back/butt
(semisitting or dorsal) the MD-obstetrician closed their birth canal up to
30%.

Please consider helping women of injured babies get compensated via a class
action lawsuit.

I'm hoping that Attorney Kathleen Zellner (see above) will organize a class
action and finally stop the grisly obstetric travesty. I'll copy her this
letter at .

I am also hoping for criminal prosecution of MDs by LA County DA Steve
Cooley and his deputy DA Bill Hodgman.

See again: FBI: AMA 'pedo-priests': Will DA Cooley prosecute?
http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group...t/message/2289

In regard to this latter matter - criminal prosecution - I am favor of
pardons in advance for MDs. MDs are just academic prime cuts forced through
this culture's most powerful mental meatgrinder - medical school.

MDs should be pardoned so that they can keep doing their valid medical work
in order to earn the money to pay the inevitable civil damages.

Again Rahul,

Thanks for reading,

Sincerely,

Todd

Dr. Gastaldo
