It is *impossible* for men to create children. It can be argued that
men are responsible for women getting pregnant (if you assume that the
woman is a mindless cow who doesn't realise having sex means having a
chance of getting pregnant) -- but that is all men are capable of
doing. Once a woman is pregnant she, and only she, is the one who
creates the child. It is her body and she is the only one with the
choice as to whether or not a child will be created (assuming she has
a mental age greater than six years old.)

but I also don't believe that women should
bhave the option of bringing child after child into the world with no
intention of ever supporting them--

Women always have had that option. They only way to take it away from
women is to have forced abortions -- to make unauthorized pregnancy a
crime.

and expecting taxpayers to pick up the
slack if they can't stick the man with the expenses.

If you want to know what is behind anything, just follow the money.

We need a better
solution--this one obviously is not working.

Works a lot better than anything else we've tried. What is your
solution?

You are not everyone. http://ccli.org/nfp/contraception/tubal.php

"A review of the literature on post-tubal ligation problems by Drs.
Joel Hargrove and Guy Abraham revealed an incidence of long-term
complications in as many as 22 to 37% of sterilized women."

Women have died from complications from a tubal.
Women have had complications from pills, and IUDS, decided on a tubal
and died.
Liz is correct, any man that doesn't want to father a child and be a
real daddy, should get his cords clipped. Far safer than a tubal for a
woman. Any man that doesn't want to get a STD, needs to use a condom,
unless he has absolute faith in his partner.
The father of any child should support that child, even if he has to
be put in a slave labor condition. Men can prevent pregnancy in the
woman he is taking pleasure from.

Ohm grow up! What a fool. Any woman who cannot support a child should

keep
her panties on and herlegs together.

You grow up, a responsible man doesn't father a child.

Guess YOUR father wasn't responsible. Are you a father too?

Especially
with a slut he would never marry. Making a living is a full time job,
as is raising a child. With a partner to share child care, and earning
a income, helps a lot.
But I agree anyone not able or willing to raise a child, should not
become a parent, whether male or female.

Chastity is indeed a choice. But not widely popular, taking your self

Surely you are not saying that letting a man screw you is the price of
dinner and a movie. Eeeeew! What kind of scummy crowd do you run with?

Realty check, if a woman doesn't have sex after a few dates, there
won't be any more dates. And the men will warn other men she is a
teaser. On the other hand men that don't try, will find them selves
dateless. Unless they find the teasers.

Surely you are not saying that letting a man screw you is the price of

In my younger days I found there were women who would come right out and
tell you they would "make it worth your time" if you'd come over for

dinner,
or a glass of wine, or whatever. I had one knock on my door unexpectedly
and tell me she came over to "give herself to me." Why would any man

want
to pay for a dinner and a movie when you don't have to?

Men learn quickly what kinds of women to tell "No thanks" to when they

offer
up their bodies for free. Those women can't handle it when a man turns

them
down. I've had women tell me I was gay because I wouldn't take what they
were giving away. :-)

Or tell other women that you aren't man enough to take what you
want?

But seriously, my point is men have the right to choose who they have sex
with and who they don't have sex with and staying away from the easy lays

is
a good strategy for men to protect themselves from lots of problems.

Thank you Bob! Now go back and read the post that caused you to
label me Comrade.

Wasn't me. Not my style to be a name caller.

You're wrong. I've had gone through a tubal ligation surgery and there was
no complications at all. Try again.

This is true for most tube tying operations. But there have been
problems with the surgery, and a few women have died as a result.
Any surgery has risk, including abortion.

And since vasectomies are a couple of orders of magnitude CHEAPER than
tubals, and since vasectomies are at least an order of magnitude MORE
EFFECTIVE THAN TUBALS, it's far more cost effective to snip the men,
especially when you factor in the cost of medical complications of
tubals . . . tubals do kill women, but no man has ever died from a
vasectomy.

That's not true. Men have died from vasectomy, usually as a result of
an infection.

But some women have died from the surgery, **** happens.

Make that a second stupid man who thinks that women can get pregnant by
themselves. Men are in it too and to say that men are not responsible for
pregnancies are like saying that Moon are made of blue cheese.

Snap out of it! Men and women are both equally responsible for this!

Then why are men and women not held equally responsible by the system?

Because the system has been run by men for centuries. And many women
still vote for men that despise them.
