Depression & suicide has been around for many years. So I'm not sure what
you mean by "this new generation." Depression, which is common is people
who suffer PTSD, has been seen in men who have served in the military and
fought in wars. Some of these men are well past 60 years of age. Women are
twice likely to suffer from depression and anxiety disorders. There is a
lot of information on depression, PTSD, anxiety disorders, and suicide, on
the internet. Murdering your children due to depression is a poor excuse.
Committing suicide due to depression is reasonable considering the mental
state. I've read recently serotonin levels can be tested via a urine test.
Perhaps all women's serotonin levels should be checked after birth to see if
a prescription for an anti-depressant which raises serotonin levels is
required. Another thing to note... some medication is known to cause some
people to commit suicide, or have thoughts of suicide. People should be
aware of what they are taking prior to taking the drug.
