Default We don't care even if it leads to the tragedy of others.....

Here's yet another example of what happens as a result of "family" kourt
ruining someone's life:
http://www.latimes.com/news/local/la...,7291873.story

Just an everyday joe just trying to make ends meet, but the "family" kourt
people just couldn't leave it alone:
http://sandiego.cox.net/cci/newsnati...alidatearticle
"He was very outgoing, he was very friendly. He always greeted you with a
smile, he was a pretty big guy and had a firm handshake," said Detanna, who
didn't know Pardo was going through a divorce. "It's a shock to everybody
that knew him. You just don't know what's going on sometimes."

"Friends and neighbors described Bruce Pardo as a cheerful man who seemed
upbeat and doted on a big, brown Akita he owned with his former wife. He
stood more than 6 feet tall and was always gentle and kind, said Jan
Detanna, head usher at the Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Montrose, where
Pardo volunteered."

Sounds like the kind of decent person anyone would want as their neighbor.
Just goes to show you how far the "family" kourt crowd can push even the
modest of folks. The only good news out of this is that since the woman who
was ripping him off has been eliminated, she will NEVER again be able to
harm another human being!

The "family" kourt people don't give a rip if their actions lead to the
tragedy of anyone else; just so long as it leads to the (financial) tragedy
of another man. The beat goes on..........

Bruce Pardo's wife was appalled to learn that years earlier he had abandoned
a brain-damaged son but still claimed him as a tax write-off.
By Harriet Ryan and Andrew Blankstein
December 27, 2008
He was a software engineer who liked SUVs and went to Mass on Sundays. She
was a secretary with a quick mind and an infectious laugh. When Bruce Pardo
married Sylvia Orza three years ago, the match seemed ideal -- right down to
the housing arrangements: He lived alone in a sparsely furnished house and
she had three children and plenty of furniture.

But the marriage splintered nearly a year ago when she discovered that,
years earlier, he had abandoned a brain-damaged son but continued to claim
him as a tax write-off.
Sylvia Pardo was appalled, according to a source close to the police
investigation.

A week before Bruce Pardo's Christmas Eve rampage left nine dead, including
his ex-wife, the couple had reached a "full settlement" in their divorce.
Police, while still seeking clues to his motives, believe he may have been
enraged over the demise of his marriage when he stormed a party in Covina
dressed in a Santa suit.

The couple's relationship had begun four years earlier when they were
introduced by one Sylvia Pardo's brothers, who had been a work colleague of
Bruce Pardo. Pardo did not mention that he had a son, then about 5, who was
confined to a wheelchair. The couple were married Jan. 29, 2006.

Default Santa shooter carried secret guilt, attorney says

"In an interview Saturday with CNN, Alvirez -- who represented Pardo's
former girlfriend Elena Lucano in a child support case against Pardo -- said
that Pardo and Lucano were in an "off-and-on again relationship" in 2001 and
that Pardo was watching their 13-month-old son, Matthew, one Saturday while
Lucano went grocery shopping.

When Lucano returned a short time later, she found Pardo frantically holding
the unconscious toddler, Alvirez said.

"The child did get away from him for a few minutes and managed to crawl out
of a patio door and slip into the pool," Alvirez said.

The couple rushed the child to a nearby hospital, where paramedics
resuscitated him. Later, the gravely traumatized child was airlifted to
Children's Hospital in Los Angeles, a world-renowned trauma center that
specializes in severe pediatric care, for specialized treatment, Alvirez
said.

During the first week in the intensive care unit, Pardo never left his son's
bedside, Alvirez said. But a few weeks after the child was stabilized,
doctors concluded that severe brain damage would confine him to a wheelchair
for life, Alvirez said.

Less than six months later, Pardo and Lucano ended their relationship, and
Pardo stopped visiting his son. Pardo also neglected to contribute to
Matthew's medical costs, which surged up to $340,000 within the first year,
Alvirez said.

We had to sue [Pardo] on his $100,000 homeowner's insurance policy, and I
recommended that Elena sue Bruce beyond the policy," he said. "She was not a
vindictive type, and she knew he was living with overwhelming guilt and
wanted to only pursue his policy."

Alvirez said he never had any problems with Pardo and was able to collect
the $100,000 policy to pay off medical bills and set up a special needs
trust of $240 per month for the rest of Matthew's life. The boy is now 9
years old, Alvirez said.

"Once the settlement was reached in August 2002, Bruce stopped communicating
completely and never saw Matthew or Elena again," Alvirez said.

Let me get this straight, she brings nothing but a butt load of baggage to
the relationship and after 2 years later she walks out and he has to make a
full settlement with her?

She should have just walked out with what she brought in!

I do not think anyone here is defending mr. pardo's character, life,
choices, etc etc. Nor has anyone here condoned what he did. What people are
saying is that when you push someone so hard and they snap, well, there can
be terrible consequences.

Oh right, he DESERVED his settlement due to the child, etc. Wow...
vigilante justice is alive and well!

Is there little wonder men do not reach out for help. "Go suck it up you
big whiner!"... god help us all.

Excellent points Henry!

What is more appalling in this country is that a man can simply ask for $700
Billion dollars to help out those that have never gone a day without a free
lunch and want for nothing, and the government gives it to him so they can
use it to make more profit.

This is the same United States government that imprisons the poor that can't
afford to keep up with the extortionate Child Support rates that they set.

Yes, God help us all!
