How's everyone feeling this month? Is the morning sickness gone, the tiredness starting to fade? Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you don't think anyone's noticing? How is sleeping, getting more awkward? Started doing those kegels? Any food cravings, exercise routines, yoga classes? Adjusting to the idea of parenthood yet? What else is going on, in pregnancy or in life? |

How's everyone feeling this month? Is the morning sickness gone, the tiredness starting to fade? Nausea disappeared about 7 weeks ago, but I'm exhausted! I tend to go to bed between 8 and 9 pm--sometimes before my 3 year old. Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you don't think anyone's noticing? Well, I feel huge. Definitely noticeable. I've been in maternity clothes for a few weeks now. How is sleeping, getting more awkward? Just startind to get sore hips when I stay in one position too long. Started doing those kegels? Only when I sneeze. Any food cravings, exercise routines, yoga classes? Adjusting to the idea of parenthood yet? Adjusting to the idea of #2, yeah. No real cravings, though I've had a few weeks where I eat the same thing every day because it's the only thing that tastes good. What else is going on, in pregnancy or in life? Well, let's see. Working full time, taking a class two days a week, pregnant, and taking care of DD when I get home...doesn't leave me much time for anything else! Robin T #1, 12/25/00 #2, edd 09/29/04 |

How's everyone feeling this month? Pretty good. Morning sickness is gone, but I seem to have replaced it with worse-than-junior-high acne and heartburn like I've never had before! Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you don't think anyone's noticing? I didn't -feel- too huge until a week ago when I realized I needed non-maternity khakis or jeans (we're talking non-elastic, non-drawstring, of course) THREE sizes bigger than usual... that's when I decided to go straight maternity. Much easier! Now if only the nearest maternity store wasn't 300 miles away... lucky for me, it's in the town my in-laws are in. Shop and visit: two birds with one stone! How is sleeping, getting more awkward? Started doing those kegels? Any food cravings, exercise routines, yoga classes? I'm still doing my regular pre-pregnancy workout routine, with a lower heartrate. An hour a day of walking when it isn't too cold outside or elliptical machine when it is. Hope I can keep it up for the whole nine months... it seems to balance me out. Adjusting to the idea of parenthood yet? What else is going on, in pregnancy or in life? I'm adjusting... Still struggling with what DH and I will do for jobs and where we'll live the spring after the baby is born and still wondering how I'll put up with my parents and his (especially his) visiting nonstop once the baby is here. But managing. -Carlye EDD: 9/26/04 |

How's everyone feeling this month? Is the morning sickness gone, the tiredness starting to fade? No morning sickness but I'm miserable with the awful allergies. It's been going on for two weeks now. I'm taking benedryl and tylenol. nothing works. Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you don't think anyone's noticing? I have to pay people to believe that I'm almost into fifth month I just look fat, not pregnant. May be a little bump that's all. How is sleeping, getting more awkward? Sleep is just starting to become uncomfortable mainly because of my allergies. I can't breathe in any one position so I'm tossing in the bed all night. Started doing those kegels? I hate kegels hate them hate them hate them. But I try to do them as often as I can. Otherwise life's good. I'm really enjoying this pregnancy a lot. Thanks as always for asking! |

How's everyone feeling this month? Is the morning sickness gone, the tiredness starting to fade? Oh yes, I am so thankful. Not too huge yet, but enough belly to run your hands over with that sweet, wistful smile on your face when you don't think anyone's noticing? I am definitely showing a lot more over the past three weeks (three weeks ago we had DS's birthday party and didn't announce the pregnancy to some relatives until the end.) I'm sure I could "pass" in certain outfits and I doubt many people would want to take the chance on asking, "When are you due?" but if I didn't want someone to guess I'd avoid them! Any food cravings, exercise routines, yoga classes? I just got the "FitMama" prenatal tape. I've been really sedentary and have to stop before I get too worn out, but it's good to get some exercise while the weather outside is awful, and I really like the prenatal stretch and relax section at the end. (The "yoga fat burn" actually seems less tricky than the salsa dance for me -- beginners choose from one of the two for each workout.) The tape also doesn't get into the spirituality of yoga, for those who just want the exercise. Adjusting to the idea of parenthood yet? What else is going on, in pregnancy or in life? I hope we've adjusted, seeing as DS is 2 years old I'm slowly getting the energy to nest the way I want to. Just started sleeping on a good schedule again, even if it is broken sleep. DH just painted the room DS will probably move into before the baby's born, and we've been looking at playroom/bedroom decor for that. I'm so tempted to start buying baby clothes and such, but I think I'll go through DS's hand-me-downs first and see what we already have. That should satisfy some of the urge to moon over sweet, tiny little T-shirts and sleepers and onesies and socks and blankies and ... B. mommy to DS, 2 years old and D?, 19 weeks in utero |

MS is still around--the vomiting part at least. The all-day nausea seems to be mostly gone--I still get some general wooziness after about 8pm. The tiredness has definitely faded. I still like my naps, but it's not nearly as bad as it was a month ago. I'm not huge at all--could easily pass for chunky by someone who doesn't know me too well if I wear something baggy. To *me*, I'm definitely showing. I actually measured my waist the other day and it's grown by 7 inches so far. I'm quite enjoying wearing clothes that are obviously maternity ones. This is the most new clothes I've bought/acquired (borrowed) in such a short time, so I'm still enjoying all the new wardrobe choices and bright spring colors. And, of course, the fact that I look pregnant in them and not just fat--it's really nice not to feel I have to suck in my stomach all the time... My exercise consists of either a trip to the gym at lunch to spend 20-25 minutes on a cross trainer or stationary bike, a walk, or doing the workout video I bought (Zen Mama--a kind of cheesy yoga tape, but the stretches are nice). There aren't a lot of good exercise class options nearby--I looked into water aerobics at the gym (really community fitness center) I go to, but they're on Tuesdays and Thursdays at like 10am--doesn't really work with a full time job. I don't really have food cravings. I definitely have aversions--generally to things that I've thrown up once or twice. And some things just don't taste good at all--like most sodas, Hersheys' chocolate (some other brands are fine...), etc. About the only other thing going on at the moment is that I think I have a bladder infection. Its' nothing real bad, but that region has kind of a stinging-tingly feeling. It doesn't hurt to pee (though my bladder area does sort of tingle after I do), but the last time I had shad a bladder infection, I had similar symptoms. This time I'm not peeing bits of blood though. Last time I wasn't pg, and waited a couple of days before calling the doctor--this time I called the same day I first noticed the symptoms, and I hope I'm not taking time off work this afternoon for nothing. Oh well, probably better to go in and find out nothing's really wrong than let something get worse. --Elit. #1 due 9/20/2004 |
