Edema in one foot only? o_O
Lastnight, I went into the L&D to get my foot checked. For the past
few days, my right foot has been swelling up. It's usually fine in the mornings but then it swells later in the day. I've noticed it each time because of the numb tingly like feeling it gets when it swells up. My left foot is fine however. It's just my right foot. There's no pain associated with it or anything, just that weird feeling. The doctor's figured it was the uterus pressing on vessels. I was worried it might be preeclampsia, or something serious but my blood pressure has been perfect and I haven't had any headaches. Has anybody else experienced anything like this? |

It was usually gone within a day or two, and only happened when it was really hot weather. Normally I have no swelling whatsoever, so it was a funny sight. -- -- I mommy to DS (July '02) mommy to three tiny angels (28 Oct'03, 17 Feb'04 & 20 May'04) guardian of DH (33) |

I get this now and then with my left ankle. I can usually trace it back to eating too much salt and or sitting too much. If I drink lots of water, watch my salt, and get the foot elevated, I'll usually pee like crazy and be fine the next day. My blood pressure is also fine. cheers, Marion edd 10/16/2004 |
