No, it's been shown that a girl with a rare condition, who developed a
fever as a result of getting a vaccine (the result could easily have
been the same had she developed a fever from getting an infection at
around the same time), then developed autistic symptoms.

The fact that this can happen under rare conditions does not "prove"
that vaccines cause autism. But such subtleties are lost on John.
